How long should I spend at MAAT?

  • MAAT Gallery only: 45–60 minutes (enough for the temporary exhibition galleries and a quick rooftop walk if you keep moving).
  • MAAT Gallery + Electricity Factory: 1.5–2 hours (the best first-time route, covering the contemporary galleries, turbine hall, and interactive energy exhibits).
  • Full MAAT visit with rooftop, garden, and café break: 2.5–3 hours during the MAAT Lisbon opening hours (best if you want photos, a slower exhibition pace, and river views at golden hour).

Frequently asked questions about MAAT Lisbon opening hours

Last entry is at 6:30pm. That gives you only 30 minutes before the 7pm close, so it’s enough for a quick rooftop look or one building, not the full gallery-and-power-station experience.
