One Planet, One Ocean

’One Planet, One Ocean’ is the main attraction of the Lisbon Oceanarium. This massive aquarium holds five million liters of seawater, enough to fill two Olympic-sized swimming pools. The water is carefully temperature-controlled to maintain ideal ocean conditions for its diverse residents, including penguins, puffins, colorful butterflyfish, unicornfish, axolotls, otters, and many more!

Takashi Amano’s ‘Forest Underwater’

Don’t miss the "Forests Underwater" exhibition by freshwater aquarium expert Takashi Amano. This exhibit features 46 types of aquatic plants and 10,000 tropical freshwater fish in a 40-meter-long aquarium containing 160,000 liters of freshwater. The aquarium is decorated with sand, volcanic rock, and tree trunks, showcasing the natural beauty of forests. Originally opened in 2015 for a two-year run, its popularity has kept it open to this day.
