There are four specific days when the timings vary from the venue's usual timings between 10am and 8pm. These include:

  • December 24: 10am to 7pm, with last entry at 6pm
  • December 25: 11am to 8pm, with last entry at 7pm
  • December 31: 10am to 7pm, with last entry at 6pm
  • January 1: 11am to 8pm, with last entry at 7pm

How long should I spend at the Oceanário de Lisboa?

The Oceanário de Lisboa is Europe’s largest aquarium with a massive Central Ocean Tank and four major oceanic zones. Besides these, you’ll also find various sections dedicated to the aquarium’s conservation efforts, besides activities for children.

If you’re visiting with family, especially kids, you can easily spend 2-3 hours exploring the various zones. Kids will relish spotting the over 15,000 different creatures!

If you’re visiting the Oceanário on a Tuesday afternoon, make sure to check out the penguin feeding at 3:30pm. You should ideally set aside a good 30-45 minutes for this.
