The palace colors and location are amazing. A beautiful retreat from the city. We had to climb all the way from the city to the place because the road was closed due to fallen trees from the recent rains. I would suggest taking a tuk tuk for 5 euros per person that takes you to the gate.

The palace is enchanting, nestled in a magical forest. I loved the architecture of the palace, especially the Arabic style. The view from the towers is stunning and stretches all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

Buying the tickets in advance best way to go, as purchasing tickets at the venue required standing in line at a booth far away from the entry. The Monestary at St Jeronimos defintely worth seeing!
